Flat-Out Love is a warm and witty novel of family love and dysfunction, deep heartache and raw vulnerability, with a bit of mystery and one whopping, knock-you-to-your-knees romance.
It’s not what you know—or when you see—that matters. It’s about a journey.
One word: AMAZING.
This one just touched me in all the right places. It made me laugh out loud so hard from beginning til end, it touched my heart without trying too hard with the drama, it made me smile and feel good long after I finished it, and it made me want to read it again. It’s not often that I reread a book, but I just had to read this one again, slowly, to savor every witty conversation..every reaction..to try to catch every clue. The quirky characters were so alive and so lovable despite their flaws. And the love story! OH, the LOVE STORY! The product description was bang-on: it was one whopping, knock-you-to-your-knees romance. I can still feel the butterflies in my stomach. The slow-building romance between the hero and heroine was very natural and was really sweet without being corny or sappy. It’s rare to find a book that has a title that screams “love story” but does not border on sappy or corny. And it is not just a love story, it is a journey . I’d actually say that the feel-it-in-your-tummy love story is just a bonus, that even with less romance, this book would have still been awesome. Looking forward to more books from this author:)
